Our Piano Examinations are designed to develop comprehensive pianistic skills, combining technical accuracy with musical interpretation and expressive performance. Students are assessed on their ability to demonstrate appropriate finger techniques, scales, arpeggios, rhythm, sight-reading, musical expression and performance proficiency according to their examination grade. As candidates progress through the grades, greater emphasis is placed on musical interpretation, stylistic awareness, technical control and advanced repertoire. Beyond Grade 8 - Concert Performance Certification: Concert Performance Certifications are for accomplished candidates who wish to demonstrate a high standard of musical artistry, technical proficiency, interpretation and professional presentation.
