The Electronic Keyboard Examinations provide students with opportunities to develop both traditional keyboard skills and modern electronic performance techniques. Candidates are encouraged to demonstrate proficiency in melody playing, chord progressions, rhythmic accompaniment, coordination between both hands, appropriate use of keyboard functions and musical interpretation. The examinations aim to develop versatile keyboard performers who can confidently demonstrate their skills across a variety of musical styles. Grades 4-5 - Intermediate Musical Proficiency: At this stage, candidates demonstrate greater technical control, musical independence, sight-reading ability and expressive interpretation.
