About This Certification
LAPT Guitar Examinations focus on developing technical competence, musical understanding and confident performance. Candidates are assessed on appropriate guitar techniques, including chord formation, strumming patterns, scales, melodic playing, finger coordination, rhythm and musical expression. As students advance, examinations encourage greater technical precision, fluency, interpretation and performance confidence.
Beyond Grade 8 - Concert Performance Certification: Concert Performance Certifications are for accomplished candidates who wish to demonstrate a high standard of musical artistry, technical proficiency, interpretation and professional presentation.
